Regulations related to corporate responsibility have increased explosively in recent years, leaving companies understandably confused amid all the noise. To stay competitive globally, the EU has promised to reduce bureaucracy, and on February 26, the Commission published its Omnibus proposals for simplifying sustainability regulations. If implemented, these proposals would significantly reduce existing regulations. But what do these changes mean for companies in practice, and what are the next steps?
At the same time, leading companies have long recognized that sustainable operations and the development of products and services supporting sustainability are a competitive advantage—regardless of regulation. At best, sustainability reporting and the supporting processes enhance stakeholder trust and investor interest, direct capital flows towards sustainably operating companies, and provide businesses with more comprehensive data for strategic decision-making. How should we interpret all of this today?
Join us after work for discussions on these topics, enjoy light refreshments, and hear expert insights and real-world experiences from pioneering companies in the field.
