Member Highlight of the Week: Terhi Koipijärvi
We are thrilled to spotlight Terhi as our Nordic Listed Leaders Member of the Week!
She is a pioneer in strategic corporate responsibility with over three decades of global leadership experience in the field. She is currently a Senior Advisor in Strategy & Sustainability at Miltton where she joined after serving as Director of Communications, Strategy, and Responsibility at Metsähallitus. Prior to that, she held key corporate responsibility leadership roles at Stora Enso and Metsä Group.
Currently, Terhi serves on the boards of several major companies, including Metso, Ponsse , and East Africa’s largest forestry company, Green Resources AS. She is also the Chair of FIBS, the largest sustainability network in the Nordics. Her previous board roles include positions e.g. at the Finnish Equestrian Federation, The Finnish Forest Museum Lusto, and Moelven.
Terhi has extensive expertise in developing strategic sustainability in companies, ample experience in M&As and investments, and implementing sustainability as a part of change management. She is no stranger to demanding stakeholder cooperation in a global operating environment.
Terhi’s views can also be found in e.g. the book ”Corporate Responsibility 2.0 - A New Normal of Leadership”, which she wrote together with Sari Kuvaja.
Terhi holds an M.Sc. in Forestry & Forest Products Marketing and is deeply passionate about forest, equestrianism and architecture.
